Learn from Space experts how to create Space Habitats using Design Thinking, STEM skills & Minecraft. For grade 3 & up (age 8+)
Class information
In this online class you will learn about the challenges of living in space and the exploration of other planets directly from Space Industry experts. You will learn about Design Thinking and use 3D Design to create your own liveable Space Habitat using Minecraft.
Age suitability:
This class is suitable for students in Grade 3 and up (Age 8 and on).
Notes to teachers, parents and supervisors:
This class has multiple lessons or sections. Students are given self-paced challenges and tasks to do in-between the Teacher presentations. Students can add comments to ask questions and seek help.
For LIVE classes: Adult organisers or sign up emails will have information on start and end times. Recordings of teaching presentations and lessons can be accessed on-demand for 7 days after the class finishes.
For SELF-PACED classes: Pre-recorded teaching presentations and lessons can be accessed on-demand while you have an active account.
Computer / Tablet requirements:
For this class you will require a iPad, Android tablet, Laptop or Desktop PC, Mac. You will need access to the Google Chrome Browser.
NB. Students will need access to a copy of Minecraft - either Pocket Edition (App) for mobile devices, desktop edition for Windows or Mac, or Console version for Playstation, Xbox or Switch.
